Delta Electronics (Thailand) and Burapha University Launch Power Electronics Laboratory to Drive Sustainable Engineering Innovation in Thailand

CHONBURI – August 1, 2025 — Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited, a global leader in power management and smart green solutions, in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering at Burapha University, has recently inaugurated the “Delta Power Electronics Laboratory”, a state-of-the-art academic and research facility aimed at advancing education and innovation in power electronics. As Delta’s fifth power electronics laboratory across Thailand’s leading universities, this milestone reflects a shared commitment to developing national expertise in power electronics and next-generation engineering talent.

Mr. Victor Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL, stated, “The Delta Power Electronics Laboratory at Burapha University is a pillar of our commitment to enhancing practical engineering education in Thailand. Moreover, this project reflects our belief in investing in people, especially future Thai engineers who will help to drive innovation in power electronics and sustainable technologies. By partnering with leading universities in the country, we aim to provide students with real-world skills and experience that contribute to both their development and Thailand’s progress toward a smarter, greener future.”  

This facility is part of the Delta Power Electronics Lab Program, an initiative by Delta to establish world-class power electronics laboratories across Thailand’s top engineering institutions. Burapha University becomes the fifth university to host such a lab, following partnerships with King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Kasetsart University, and Chulalongkorn University.

The official ceremony was led by Dr. Nayot Kurukitkosol, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Burapha University, and Dr. Nattapan Thanomsat, Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering. They welcomed key representatives from the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), including Ms. Sukanya Khampa, Senior Investment Promotion Officer, and Ms. Nuengruthai Pitakkonktrakul, Senior Administrative Officer from the BOI Chonburi Office, who attended to show their support for this impactful public–private partnership.

Also in attendance were senior executives from Delta Electronics (Thailand), including Mr. Victor Cheng, Chief Executive Officer; Mr. Carl Chen, Chief Technology Officer; and Mr. Yongyuth Pakduangjan, Senior Director of Government and Public Affairs. Their presence reflected the company’s strong commitment to educational collaboration as a key driver of national competitiveness and green industrial transformation.

Delta Electronics (Thailand), recognized globally for its leadership in power and thermal management, regards the Power Electronics Laboratory as an educational investment in building high-impact learning environments that connect academic theory with real-world application. The lab provides Thai engineering students with access to advanced tools and technologies, supporting research and training.
