Delta Hosts Ministry of Energy and Major Companies to Study its Model Green Headquarters

Samutprakarn, Thailand, September 25, 2019 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. hosted a delegation led by the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) from Thailand’s Ministry of Energy for an on-site survey of its green factory and headquarters in Bangpoo Industrial Estate. As a winner of the Thailand Energy Awards for the past three consecutive years, Delta hosts the Ministry of Energy as a model factory to promote energy management and renewable energy activities among Thai-based companies.

Mr. Hsieh Shen-yen, Delta Thailand President, welcomed Ms. Nuanjan Tachasermsukkul, DEDE Deputy Director General, and 60 industrial energy experts from 20 major multinational and Thai manufacturers. “We leverage our own innovative solutions at our Thai factories to have more green operations and reduce our carbon footprint. By installing solar rooftop solutions and recycling the energy from our burn-in process, we can cut our electricity use and help make it easier for our utility providers in Thailand.”

Mr. Pitisook Chitkasem, Delta Plant Administration Director, gave the delegation an in-depth explanation of the solutions and best practices that helped Delta win three Thailand Energy Awards and international green building certifications. The Delta Energy Management Team then led the delegation to survey the following sites in at Delta Thailand’s Headquarters: 

    • Delta Showroom: Showcase of Delta’s extensive portfolio of energy-saving products and solutions for global customers are to the public for education.
    • Cold Energy Recovery Nitrogen (CERN2): Recovery process of energy from liquid nitrogen used in the product cold testing lab.
    • HVAC System: Delta uses an energy efficient Magnetic Bearing Oil-Free Chiller in the HVAC room and nine sets of energy-saving Split Type Air Conditioners in its meeting rooms.
    • Smart Energy Recycle System (SERS): Recycles energy generated in the burn-in process of finished electronics that used to go to waste.
    • Solar Rooftop: Delta’s 3.2 MWp capacity solar rooftop system can generate up to 4,677,548 kWh in electricity per year for 100% internal use.
