Delta TCP

TCP/IP Stack

Delta TCP/IP Stack is an automotive-grade, flexible, and scalable network protocol stack designed for embedded communication systems. It supports multiple physical media and can be adapted to different automotive networking requirements, helping customers build reliable IP-based communication for next-generation vehicle platforms.

The stack is a small, standalone TCP/IP protocol suite implementation for embedded systems. It is optimized for low resource consumption, making it suitable for resource-constrained embedded environments. It requires only tens of KB of RAM and approximately 40 KB of ROM. It focuses on OSI Layer 3 and above, and does not include data link layer reception and transmission handling. Developed following ASPICE practices and MISRA-C coding guidelines, it is designed to support reliable integration into automotive embedded platforms.

Main Features:

  • Dual-stack support, with IPv4/IPv6 optional or coexistence modes.
  • Supports bare-metal operation and is independent of the operating system.
  • Portable to different operating systems, with FreeRTOS-based examples provided.
  • Optional debugging APIs and CLI for easy integration and expansion.
  • Berkeley-style socket API.
  • Supports multiple virtual interfaces with different MAC addresses on each physical interface.
  • Supports multiple hosts with different IPv4/IPv6 addresses on each virtual interface.
  • Zero-copy support to avoid memory copying during data transmission and reduce execution time.
