Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand – March 26, 2025 – Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited, a global leader in power management and IoT-based smart green solutions, showcased its leadership in shaping the future of smart manufacturing and industrial innovation at NEPCON Forum 2025, held at The Cavalli Casa Resort in Ayutthaya. Organized by the Electronics and Computer Employers’ Association (ECEA) in collaboration with RX Tradex, this flagship industry event united key stakeholders under the theme: “The Electronics Equation: Solving Global Economic Challenges.”
“Future-proofing Thailand’s industry starts with people. Without skilled talent, even the best technology won’t deliver long-term, sustainable growth. At Delta, we’re not only investing in advanced automation, but we’re also investing in the next generation of engineers and innovators who will drive Thailand’s transition toward smart, energy-efficient manufacturing.” said Mr. Sann Laohakullawudhi, Senior Manager of Industrial Automation at Delta Thailand.
The event explored Thailand’s role in the global electronics market, emerging supply chain trends, and the urgent need for transformation through innovation, talent development, and sustainable growth. Attendees included C-suite executives, R&D leaders, manufacturers, startups, and academia from across the electronics ecosystem.
Delta believes that to accelerate Thailand’s industrial competitiveness, a coordinated effort is needed between government, academia, and the private sector. Public policy particularly incentives under the Thailand 4.0 framework plays a vital role in encouraging investment in innovation, automation, and smart manufacturing. At the same time, academic institutions are encouraged to modernize their curricula to better equip graduates with skills in artificial intelligence, data science, and industrial analytics fields that are essential for the future of manufacturing.
Delta is actively advancing this vision through direct action. In 2025, the company will expand its academic partnership network to nine leading Thai universities, establishing Industrial Automation Labs and Power Electronics Labs to equip students with practical, industry-relevant skills.
One standout initiative is Delta’s collaboration with Thai universities on the development of Industrial Automation training modules that simulate real-world smart factory environments. These modules are integrated with Delta’s own DIAStudio and SCADA systems, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in automation system design, control, and monitoring bridging classroom knowledge with factory-floor applications.
Delta is also implementing smart production line technologies including Digital Twin, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) systems to help raise productivity, improve quality, and optimize energy use across its operations in Thailand.
As part of its long-term innovation roadmap, Delta plans to scale its Thailand-based R&D center to approximately 1,000 engineers, dedicated to advancing industrial automation, energy solutions, and sustainable technologies.
Delta’s participation at NEPCON Forum 2025 reflects its deep commitment to building a globally competitive and future-ready electronics industry in Thailand. By investing in talent, fostering innovation, and driving smart manufacturing practices, Delta continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the country's industrial evolution.
