Auckland, New Zealand, August 10-11, 2018– Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. subsidiary Delta Energy Systems (Australia) Pty Ltd. introduced its new Low Noise DC Wallbox EV charger and showcased its cutting-edge EV charging products at the EVworld NZ 2018. Held at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland, EVworld NZ is a combined electric vehicle (EV) event that brings together the EV community and facilitates connections to promote zero carbon transport in New Zealand. It also serves as a focal point to grow New Zealand’s EV fleet and drive toward a more sustainable transport environment.
At the event, Delta and its New Zealand distribution partner YHI highlighted Delta’s AC Mini Plus with E5 and BX 6.0 battery solution, DC Wallbox and the new Low Noise DC Wallbox to meet EV charging needs for both large fleets and private residences. With 4,400 visitors, EVworld NZ 2018 is the largest EV-specific show in the region that Delta attended to date.
The first day of the event was for decision makers from government bodies and companies looking to purchase or expand their existing range of EV products for EV fleets. Delta welcomed Mr. Behyad Jafari, Electric Vehicle Council Australia CEO, to explore Delta’s EV charging products and solutions. Visitors to the booth were most interested in the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) capabilities of Delta’s AC Mini plus charger, which enables charging infrastructure integration, and the small footprint of the DC Wall box which allows greater flexibility in setting up EV fleet charging facilities.
The second day of the event, open to the public, was a great opportunity for Delta to meet with local EV owners and get a clearer picture of their home EV charging needs. Many visitors admired the smart look and small footprint of Delta’s AC Mini Plus EV charger which make it an attractive choice for home use. Interested visitors were either EV owners or were planning to buy an EV and came to see the charging options available.
