DET supply HCU's to Chery Automotive for "Green Ambassador" fleet for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Olympic Games. 40 of these Chery Hybrid Electric Vehicles are driven by BSG light Hybrid System and 10 by ISG Mild Hybrid System. Both BSG and ISG Hybrid Control Units (HCU) are manufactured by Delta Electronics (Thailand), co-designed by Chery and Ricardo. These Chery hybrids will be used to ferry athletes and spectators during the 2008 Olympic Games in the capital of China. Chery is the first Chinese brand to serve the Olympic Games.

These hybrid models use gasoline as its main power, and its working engine will recharge a special cell in the vehicle. Compared to the vehicles of the same displacement, the fuel economy of the BSG A5 is improved by about 10%-15%, while its carbon dioxide emission is reduced by 12% or so; the fuel economy of the ISG A5 is improved by about 25%-30%, while its carbon dioxide emission is reduced by approximately 12%. Car exhaust pollutes the world.

Inevitably, the solution toward this problem is to research and develop new energy to power vehicles. As a Green Energy provider, Delta continuously devotes itself to the healthy and sustainable development of the automotive industry. (source: www.cheryglobal.com)
