Delta Electronics Participates in Thailand’s RE100 Corporate Leadership in Renewable Energy Seminar

BANGKOK – Dec 12, 2025 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL took part in the RE100 Corporate Leadership in Renewable Energy seminar, jointly organised by the RE100 Climate Group and the Thai Renewable Energy Association (RE100 Thailand), held on Friday, 12 December 2025, at The Sukosol Hotel in Bangkok. The seminar marked the first collaboration between the international RE100 Climate Group and RE100 Thailand.

The event brought together RE100 Thailand members, representatives from companies with renewable energy targets, and stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, including the Energy Regulatory Commission of Thailand and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. Discussions focused on Thailand’s renewable energy transition, regulatory developments, and practical pathways for organisations shifting from fossil fuel-based energy to renewable sources.

Delta was represented by Mr Saroj Ruangskulraj, Senior Manager, Energy Management Department, Delta Electronics Thailand. As a member of the RE100 Climate Group, Mr Saroj was invited to collaborate with RE100 Climate Group and RE100 Thailand to support policy dialogue and share corporate perspectives on renewable energy transition. During the seminar, he highlighted Delta’s renewable energy demand across its operations and discussed how multinational companies can contribute to national decarbonisation efforts through closer collaboration with policymakers and utilities.

Mr Saroj shared Delta’s corporate mission and long-term commitment to net-zero ambitions, outlining the company’s greenhouse gas reduction strategies and renewable energy transition efforts across global and local operations. These included best practices from Delta’s operations in the United States, which have achieved LEED Platinum and LEED Zero Energy certifications, on-site solar self-generation, green electricity sourcing through power purchase agreements as well as the use of International Renewable Energy Certificates or I-REC to offset non-renewable energy consumption. He also highlighted broader decarbonisation initiatives such as EV100 participation, energy efficiency projects, production process improvements, SCADA systems, automated controls, and the use of internal carbon pricing to support low-carbon investments.

During the session, Mr Saroj addressed challenges faced by Delta Electronics Thailand in achieving RE100 commitments. He noted growing concerns around potential restrictions on unbundled certificates, limited access to power purchase agreements, and constraints on acceptable green tariffs in Thailand, which could affect RE100 compliance pathways and the competitiveness of Thai exporters. He also highlighted increasing customer scrutiny, including eligibility criteria, accepted renewable technologies, preferred procurement structures, and audit expectations, which place greater emphasis long-term credibility of renewable energy claims.

Beyond policy engagement and industry dialogue, Delta continues to strengthen its sustainability commitment through a range of CSR and ESG initiatives in 2025. Delta Thailand received the CSR Green Star Award in recognition of its environmental, social, and governance performance, convened the 2025 Delta Worldwide ESG Workshop to align regional sustainability strategies, and partnered with seven top Thai universities to launch the Power E-Laboratory to support education and innovation. The company also collaborated with the Department of Industrial Promotion through the DIPROM Angel Fund Partnership to support startups and SMEs, while continuing energy education outreach through the Delta Energy Education Program at Wat Traisamakkee School.

Delta’s participation in Thailand’s first RE100 Corporate Leadership in Renewable Energy seminar reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, responsible operations, and collaboration with stakeholders to support the country’s transition towards a low-carbon and energy-resilient future.
