Delta Thailand Hosts the Electrical and Electronics Institute of Thailand to Advance Strategic Collaboration

Bangkok, Thailand – April 29, 2025 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. a global leader in power management and IoT-based smart green solutions welcomed representatives from the Electrical and Electronics Institute of Thailand (EEI) to its Delta Plant 8 for focused discussions on strengthening cooperation in educational development within the evolving landscape of the electrical and electronics sector.

Mr. Victor Cheng, CEO of Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. stated “As artificial intelligence and smart technologies reshape our industry; Delta is pleased to engage with EEI to explore practical avenues for collaboration. By supporting initiatives such as the Delta Cup 2025, we aim to foster engineering talent and strengthen the industry’s capacity for sustainable development.”

The delegation from the Electrical and Electronics Institute of Thailand (EEI), led by Executive Director Mr. Narat Rujirat, toured Delta’s R&D center, where teams develop power electronics, automation systems, and intelligent infrastructure for global markets. The visit underscored Delta’s continued investment in local engineering expertise and technical advancement.

Given our shared commitment to the electrical and electronics sector, we see strong potential for expanded collaboration particularly in areas such as R&D product testing at the Bangpoo Industrial Estate, providing technical support, and working together on educational initiatives such as the Delta Cup 2025.” said Mr. Narat Rujirat, Executive Director of EEI.

Delta and EEI have worked together for over a decade in the area of product testing. This long-term partnership has strengthened local standards and built technical capacity. The latest engagement expands the collaboration to include education-focused activities, with EEI joining the judging panel for the Delta Cup 2025.

Launched in Thailand in 2024 following the competition’s success in China, the Delta Cup provides engineering students with hands-on experience in automation, robotics, and smart solutions. The 2025 theme, “Sustainable Smart Manufacturing” encourages innovation that balances technology with environmental awareness.

Delta’s educational initiatives, such as the Delta Automation Academy and the Delta Cup, promote hands-on learning and real-world problem-solving among the next generation of engineering talent. In parallel, the Delta Angel Fund supports Thai startups, reinforcing the company’s broader commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable growth. Together, these efforts reflect Delta’s long-term vision for advancing regional development through both talent cultivation and technological innovation.
