Delta Hosts Delta Energy Education Program Workshop for Local Primary School

Bangkok, Thailand, August 27, 2020– Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. hosted a special energy education workshop for 50 students from Watradphotong Primary School as part of its Delta Energy Education Program (DEEP). Delta Volunteers in the DEEP education program give energy saving and conservation classes at local schools and welcome students and teachers for workshops at the company as part of Delta’s CSR and community education programs.

At the workshop held in Delta’s Bangpoo head office, Delta Volunteers used fun activities and demonstrations of the company’s energy-saving facilities to teach the 5th and 6th grade students and their teachers. Workshop activities and demonstrations included:

• Solar cooking activity
• Vegetable flowerpot gardening activity 
• Energy circulation demonstration
• Basic knowledge of solar cells demonstration
• COVID-19 prevention knowledge sharing

At the end of the workshop, Delta surveyed the participants and received an 80% overall satisfaction rate with 78% of the students saying they will share the energy saving and conservation knowledge they learned with their family and friends.

Since 2016, the Delta Volunteers have operated the DEEP program to pioneer grade school energy education in Thailand as part of its commitment to its communities and sustainable development.
