Delta Thailand Welcomes the Minister of Industry to its Smart Green Headquarters

Bangkok, Thailand, July 13, 2020– Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. welcomed Thailand’s Minister of Industry to its smart factory and green building headquarters in Bangpoo. The Minister of Industry visited Delta for an in-depth view of the company’s community work, innovative solutions and to meet local enterprises supported by Delta and the ministry’s Department of Industrial Promotion (DIP).

Mr. Jackie Chang, Delta Thailand President, welcomed Minister of Industry Suriya Juangroongruangkit, and the Ministry of Industry delegation to the company and expressed his appreciation for the government’s full support during the COVID-19 crisis and cooperation to support local SMEs in the new normal.

“We have cooperated with the government, research, medical and industry sectors to make local solutions that help protect Thai medical workers treating COVID-19 patients,” Mr. Chang said. “The full support from the government and the opportunities to help the country give us confidence to invest more in Thailand and work for greater success with our Thai partners.”

Mr. Yongyuth Pakdoungjan, Delta Senior Director of Government and Public Affairs Department, summarized Delta’s key community projects with traffic police, hospitals, the Red Cross and schools in Samutprakarn and cooperation with the Ministry of Industry including an MOU with the Department of Industrial Promotion Big Brother Project and the Delta Angel Fund for Startup to develop startup talent in Thailand.

Delta industrial automation and renewable energy solutions managers gave tours to showcase the company’s smart manufacturing and solar rooftop and EV charging solutions. The minister also visited 10 booths where the 2020 participant teams showcased their innovation projects.

Delta works with the Ministry of Industry to foster entrepreneurs and startup talent in Thailand with the Big Brother Project and Delta Angel Fund for Startup. Since 2016, the Delta Angel Fund for Startup supported many young Thai entrepreneurs to establish business models that leverage advanced technology and develop useful products for commercial use.
