Delta Hosts Department of Industrial Promotion and Delta Angel Fund 2020 Participants at Smart Green Headquarters

Samutprakarn, Thailand, June 29, 2020– Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. hosted the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIP) and Delta Angel Fund for Startups 2020 participant teams at its Bangpoo headquarters. The participant teams have passed the first round of applications and second round of pitching and now must compete for over 4 million Baht in total funding.

Mr. Yongyuth Pakdoungjan, Delta Human Resource Development Director, welcomed the representatives from the DIP and the participants to Delta for more in-depth training of Delta’s smart manufacturing and industrial automation solutions. Delta experts offered a technical workshop with Q&A sessions and discussion. The delegation was also given an extensive tour of Delta’s automated productions lines and energy saving facilities.

The visit was a good opportunity for local entrepreneurs to see large-scale implementation of Industry 4.0 technology and share ideas with experienced industrial automation experts. Delta supports the development of Thai SMEs and automation engineering talent with regular on-site education and practical training workshops.

Since 2016, Delta has worked with the DIP at the Ministry of Industry to foster entrepreneurs and startup talent in Thailand. Delta Angel Fund for Startup aims to encourage young Thai entrepreneurs to establish business models that leverage advanced technology and develop useful products for commercial use.
