Delta Employees Donate Blood to Help the Thai Red Cross Society Save Lives During COVID-19 Crisis

Samutprakarn, Thailand, May 25, 2020–Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. held a special blood donation activity for the Thai Red Cross Society to support the country and save lives during the COVID-19 crisis. A total of 234 employees volunteered to donate blood at the activity held in Delta’s Bangpoo headquarters.

Restrictions on movement and social distancing measures during the COVID-19 crisis, dramatically reduced the number of blood donors in Thailand. Delta continues its long-term program with the Thai Red Cross Society taking special precautions including COVID-19 screening and temperature checks for volunteers, extra alcohol-based sanitization and personal protective equipment for medical personnel.

Recently, Delta partnered with the Thai Marine Police Division to meet Siriraj Hospital’s urgent request for help to resupply its blood bank. The company’s large healthy workforce, with no cases of COVID-19 infections, makes it an important donation source for blood banks in the country.
