Delta and Department of Industrial Promotion Host Startup Pitching for Delta Angel Fund 2020

Bangkok, Thailand, May 14, 2020– Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. and the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIP) hosted a proposal pitching event for the Delta Angel Fund for Startups 2020 at the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIP) office in Bangkok. The 30 teams taking part came from an initial pool of 300 applicants and must compete for over 4 million Baht in total funding.

Each startup team pitched their proposals to the judging panel under the following categories:
1. Industrial Automation: To lift Thai industry to a higher standard and elevate local production performance to the next level with unique industrial automation solutions.
2. Energy Management: To help save the environment in Thailand by adopting green technology, eco-friendly solutions and water management technologies.
3. Innovation: Innovation for value creation in Thai society and the national economy.

Since 2016, Delta has worked with the DIP at the Ministry of Industry to foster entrepreneurs and startup talent in Thailand. Delta Angel Fund for Startup aims to encourage young Thai entrepreneurs to establish business models that leverage advanced technology and develop useful products for commercial use.

Over the past four years, 650 teams have passed the application stage to enter the Delta Angel Fund for Startup. Among them, 174 teams have won funds from Delta for their startup projects and 122 teams have created outstanding economic value of over 450 million Baht.
