Delta Awards 2019 Scholarships in North Thailand

Chiangmai, Thailand, August 17-18, 2019- Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. awarded 438 annual scholarships to underprivileged students from 19 schools in Chiang Mai and 30 schools in Chiang Rai who have excellent academic results. Of the scholarships, 276 were 1,000 Baht for primary school students and 162 were 2,000 Baht for high school students. Delta gave the scholarships at the Chiangmai Yunnan Association and The Yunnan Association of Thailand Chiangrai Branch.

Mr. Vichai Saksuriya, Delta Operations Vice President, and Ms. Chen, Wen-Chen, Delta Electronics Foundation Representative, welcomed Mr. Lin, Guan-Hong, Assistant Overseas Compatriot Affairs Division of the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Thailand, to take part in the ceremonies and celebration with the students and teachers.

In addition, Delta awarded 271,560 Baht in nine long-term scholarships for tuition and living expenses to students with excellent academic results who need long term financial support. These went to 9 students from Yishin High School, Khung Hua High School, Khungfu High School and Tatung High School in the Chiangmai and Chiangrai regions.

For 19 years, Delta Thailand and the Delta Electronics Foundation in Taiwan offered scholarships and bursaries to students in Northern Thailand to aid students from needy families and support development in the region.
