Delta Holds Delta Automation Academy Certificate Ceremony 2019

Bangkok, Thailand, May 25, 2019- Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. hosted the Delta Automation Academy Certificate Presentation Ceremony 2019 at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi. The Delta Automation Academy offers advanced industrial automation training to students at the Delta Industrial Automation Labs at Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and King Mongkut's University of Technology campuses in North Bangkok (KMUTNB) and in Thonburi (KMUTT).

In his speech Mr. Hsieh Shen-yen, Delta President, outlined the successes of the Delta Automation Academy. “Delta is welcoming 200 trainees this year to the academy. To support the academy, we set up Delta Labs at each of our partner universities where trainees can learn to use our SCARA Robots and automation products. Our investments have offered world-class training to around 800 Thai engineering students so far. Delta pioneers automation education in Thailand because we believe in creating a bright future for the country’s youth and we support the government’s goal to develop Industry 4.0 manufacturing.” 

Ms. Ajarin Pattanapanchai, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, thanked Delta for its contributions to the Thailand 4.0 goals to develop smart talent and spur technological growth in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Representatives from Delta, the Thai government and the universities involved in the program then held a panel discussion on the importance of training expert system integrators (SI) to help implement the Internet of Things (IoT) in the industrial sector under the theme-Industrial IoT: Smart People and Smart Technology for Future Thailand IIoT.

After the panel discussion, Delta held an awards ceremony. Mr. Anusorn Muttaraid, Delta Executive Director, introduced the company’s annual automation contest-Delta Cup. Mr. Anusorn also encouraged the trainees to join the various opportunities offered by Delta to expand their skill-sets and get the global experiences necessary for their future careers. Delta then awarded certificates to 120 trainees at the Delta Industrial Automation Labs.
