Delta Awards Its B.I.S. Sport Leagues Champions

Samutprakarn, Thailand, January 10, 2017- Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. held a special recognition ceremony at its headquarters, to acknowledge the athletic successes of Delta employees at the Bangpoo Industrial Society (B.I.S.) Sports Leagues.  The ceremony is part of the Happy Eight Initiatives by Delta HRA to promote a happy workplace and demonstrates the company’s commitment to freedom of association in line with the Responsible Business Alliance (formerly EICC) code of conduct. At the ceremony, Mr. Anusorn Muttaraid, Delta Executive Director, gave appreciation certificates to 55 Delta athletes from various departments.

The B.I.S. Sports Leagues are amateur sport club events organized by the Bangpoo Industrial Society every year. The league aims to leverage sports activities to enhance relationships among business firms and their employees in the industrial estate. For the first time in 15 years, Delta athletes competed with athletes from 57 companies in race, football and volleyball matches held from November 18- December 12, 2017. Delta and its labor union sponsored 55 Delta runners and coaches to the races and Delta teams won awards in the men’s football and one women’s volleyball championships. Delta employees, Mr. Anan Charoensuk and Ms. Boonterm Chaisema were awarded Man of the Match in football and Best Volleyball Player awards respectively.
