Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. Receives the Prime Minister's Industry Award 2011 for Energy Management

The Prime Minister's Industry Award is an annual event established since 1981 by the Thai Ministry of Industry in order to develop the country's industrial competitiveness by encouraging enterprises to strive for the highest industrial standards through creative and responsible practices. Through this award, the Ministry of Industry would also like to forge closer relationships with companies to bring about collective collaborations that will benefit the Thai industries.

The 2011 Awards categories consist of the Prime Minister's Best Industry Award and the Prime Minister's Industry Award comprising seven categories, namely, Productivity, Environmental Quality Preservation, Safety Management, Quality Management, Energy Management, Small and Medium Industries Management and Logistics Management.

A total of 163 applications were submitted for the awards from which only 26 companies emerged as the winners. After a series of stringent selection processes, Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. (DET) manages to clinch the Energy Management Award. The award ceremony was held on 29 February 2012, at the Santi Maitri Building where H.E. Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand, presented the awards to the winners. The winners were given the privilege to set up their booths to display the respective company's products. With the Thai government's ceaseless effort to improve energy production efficiency, DET's booth was very fortunate to have caught the attention of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Industry, M.R. Pongsvas Svasti. Delta LED lights and Solar Home solutions mock-up have elicited much interest from the hosts who were also seen examining the products and listening attentively to the enthusiastic DET team explaining the products' many environmental friendly specifications and features.

DET winning the Energy Management Award could not have come at a better time than now as the company has crossed several milestones in its Green Energy solutions and products in 2012 at a time when global demands for energy-efficient products are also growing strongly in the emerging markets
