Bangkok, Thailand, July 13, 2023 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited was awarded the CMMU ESG Award 2023 in recognition of the company’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Delta Thailand joined top public-listed Thai companies to receive the award at the CMMU Sustainability Festival 2023 held in Sukosol Hotel.
Mr. Chih-hao Huang, Delta SEA Regional CHRO, represented the company to receive the award for Best Discloser in recognition of the company’s transparent and comprehensive ESG disclosures. Delta is one of the seven leading Thai companies from the agriculture, banking, manufacturing, construction, oil and gas, retail and telecom sectors chosen for the CMMU ESG Award 2023.
The CMMU ESG Award aims to instill ESG and sustainable mindsets and practices in the Thai private sector. Award winners are selected by the College of Management at Mahidol University academic team, which evaluates the environmental, social and governance (ESG) and integrity of ESG disclosures of leading Thai companies using the ESG tracking system. Delta Thailand is recognized as a role model for sustainable business in Thailand.
The ESG tracking system project is co-initiated by the College of Management at Mahidol University, the University of New South Wales and the ASEAN Centre for Sustainable Development Studies and Dialogue. The system aims to help compare the performance and contribution of the business sector in the region on the advancement of SDGs. This can provide guidance to ASEAN members for focus areas or future action targets for SDG policies within their domestic business sector.
