Delta Wins Thailand Energy Awards 2019 in Three Categories

Bangkok, Thailand, October 18, 2019 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. received the Thailand Energy Award 2019 in three categories: Creative Energy, Energy Conservation: Green Building and Designated Factory. This is the fourth year for Delta to win the award from the Ministry of Energy in recognition of factories, buildings and individuals that demonstrate responsible use of energy resources for sustainable development.

Mr. Pitisook Chitkasem, Delta Plant Administration Director, received the award on behalf of Delta from Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok. Delta previously won the prestigious TEA in 2013, 2017 and 2018 for its rooftop solar power projects and energy efficiency solutions in its Samutprakarn and Chachoengsao green factories.

This year Delta’s headquarters in Samutprakan won recognition as a retrofitted green building. In 2017, Delta was the first company in Thailand to receive the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification in the EBOM (Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance) category.

The year-long renovation of Delta headquarters focused on:
• Building design and materials for insulation and energy saving
• Rooftop solar solution for renewable energy
• Efficient HVAC, LED and bathroom facilities
• Environmentally friendly construction materials
• Waste management, pollution control and employee transportation
• Indoor air quality and green ecosystem 

 With the new renovations and measures in place, the Delta Energy Management Team can leverage the company’s DIA Energie system and SCADA solutions to monitor and analyze energy consumption in real time for optimization. Delta also has activities to promote energy conservation and enrich the lives of employees including building lighting and air conditioning regulation during off hours and water and paper recycling.

As a global corporate citizen, Delta leverages its green solutions to promote energy efficient and sustainable business in Thailand.
