Delta Wins Two Awards at Thailand Kaizen Awards 2018

Bangkok, Thailand, August 31, 2018 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. received one Silver Award in Automation Kaizen and one Bronze Award in Project Kaizen at the Thailand Kaizen Award 2018, in BITEC Convention Center, Bangkok. Thailand Kaizen Award is organized by the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand-Japan) (TPA) to recognize the achievements in continuous improvement “Kaizen” of industrial organizations in Thailand.

This year Delta took part for the first time in the Thailand Kaizen Award. The company joined 132 organizations to enter 392 projects in 7 categories for the event’s 14th annual competition. Mr. Danu Kandej, Delta System Improvement Manager and the Delta Productivity Improvement Team (PIT) received the awards on behalf of the company from Ms. Nangnoi Wetayapong, Ministry of Science and Technology Inspector General. These awards recognize the company’s constant efforts to enhance performance and efficiency while reducing cost and waste.

One of Delta’s Kaizen Award projects was the Automatic Carton Box Folding Machine Project. This project improved productivity by 56.86% by reducing processes and improving work efficiency and quality.

Another Delta Kaizen Award project was the “Smart Automatic Assembly” Project. This project reduced missing error from a monthly average of 8,000 DPPM (Defect Part Per Million) to a zero DPPM. Both Kaizen projects boosted Delta’s overall efforts to control product defects and waste while increasing cost savings.

Delta promotes a culture of change throughout its company and implements elements of Kaizen throughout its production and management processes.
